Climate Advocacy Program

Turning Climate Awareness into Civic Action

Laureate Foundation’s Climate Advocacy Program equips young people with the knowledge and tools to understand climate change not just as an environmental issue, but as a matter of justice, equity, and civic responsibility.

The program focuses on building awareness around local climate challenges while enabling youth—particularly from underserved communities—to raise their voices, document realities, and advocate for sustainable and inclusive solutions. It connects climate literacy with leadership, encouraging participants to engage in meaningful dialogue and action within their communities.

Approach & Impact

At Laureate Foundation, climate advocacy is approached as a form of civic education. As an alternate learning platform, we move beyond theoretical discussions to enable young people to connect climate issues with their lived realities.

Through training, dialogue, and digital engagement, participants develop the confidence to question, document, and advocate. The program strengthens youth leadership, encourages responsible citizenship, and ensures that voices from underrepresented communities are included in climate conversations.

Ultimately, the aim is to create a generation that not only understands climate challenges but is actively involved in shaping local, practical, and inclusive responses.
