Gender-Based Violence (GBV) has transitioned aggressively into the digital sphere. Technology-based GBV (cyber-harassment, non-consensual sharing of images, deepfakes) poses an unprecedented threat, causing not only psychological harm but also economic disengagement. When young women and girls feel unsafe online, they withdraw from digital learning, e-commerce, and freelancing, directly reversing gains in digital inclusion and economic independence.
